So it snowed in New York.  It is highly unusual that we did not receive any snow until January.  I do not know if it is a sign of global warming but the weather has definitely changed since I was a kid.  I remember having several snow storms each year.  With this snow, we can not even make a snow man. 

On a sign of the times, I have a friend who will not let his wife drive in the snow, even if there is only a dusting of snow.  The first question that I had was what is the reason.

Is she a bad driver?  Is he an overprotective husband or is just a concerned husband?

This begs some follow up questions that have nothing to do with continuing education but I think that I will expand the  universe of topics that I discuss on Pure David.

One of the questions that I am pondering is the male/female social dynamics.  I thought that in our modern world that  the time has passed when men could set down the law and that was it.  I know for a fact that it does not work that way in my house.  If I tried, then I would take up permanent residence in the dog house. 

So am I just the wimp or is my friend a throwback to the old days?
Do we prefer the new social dynamics or the old power structure?

Just some thoughts to ponder a snowy day.
