Patricia's of Tremont -- Family Style Italian in the Bronx
This past weekend, my wife and I were going to eat at a trendy Mexican restaurant in the City but our plans were canceled. As we scrambled to make alternative plans, a friend of ours told us that they were going to this incredible Italian in the Bronx.
I was hoping that this restaurant would be on Arthur Avenue since we have had great luck there before. But alas, it was not. Patricia is located at 3764 East Tremont Avenue. As we pulled up, we found this pizza parlor looking restaurant. As I turned to question my friend, he said trust him. I suppressed my doubts and went ahead.
The waiter asked us if we wanted to order off the menu but my friend said that we were going to go family style. We started with Fried Calamari, followed with Pizza, Tomato and Mozzarella, Baked Clams (and assorted seafood), Two types of Pasta, Lamb Chops, Skirt Steak and Chicken Pesto. If that was not enough, for desert, we had Tiramisu and Chocolate Fondue.

Excellent meal at a reasonable price. The issue that I had was that it was too much food so that I could not really partake in the later courses but I tried my best.
The decor left something to be desired by it was part of the charm. In fact, the owner came by our table and spoke to us for 15 minutes.
In sum, we had a great evening with excellent food, great service in a fun atmosphere.

If you think this place is good, try Trattoria Lucia Restaurant in Bellerose on Jericho Turnpike. The original chef from Patricia's owns this place and it is absolutely incredible. Not family style but he is the one that put that place on the map. You will be knocked out by this place. www.trattorialuciarestaurant.com
Go try it and let me know what you think. I was a regular at Patricia's and now I'm not. I travel over the bridge to eat here.

OH, how much I like the Italian cuisine! I'm not a great gourmand, and all of the italian restaurants are the same to me, still I can say that I'm a rea fan of it! Pizza is my favourite dish, I can eat it no one knows how much!

I love Patricia's. I eat there any time I am in the Bronx. My favorite Italian restaurant is Carmine's in Manhattan, but Patricia's is my favorite in the bronx.

Often it's the places that don't look all that wonderful that turn out to be amazing. I'm glad you enjoyed your meal out.
