I had dinner there last week and I violated one of my cardinal rules.  If the bread is not good, then you need to leave the restaurant because the dinner will be awful.  La Gondola's bread was terrible but we stayed for dinner anyway.  Big mistake. 

The waiter recommended the duck which I jumped at the chance to eat.  My favorite food is roasted duck so I was excited.  This duck was over done and fatty.  In fact, I could not finish my meal because it was inedible.  The veal was touch and my wife had fish that had not taste.

In sum,  this restaurant is a must miss!  You should avoid at all costs.  I am going to recommend this restaurant as one of the worst on Long Island.
