Taste 99 Restaurant

We went out to dinner this past weekend to Taste 99 Restaurant located in Bethpage State Park (http://www.carlyleonthegreen.net/menus.html) by the people who run Carlyle on the Green.  Some people may remember the old Oak Room which Taste 99 took over for.  The decor was nothing to write home about so I will leave it there.  The menu consisted of the current trend of small plates, pizzas and entrees.  We enjoyed the small plates.  My favorite dish was the sliders but then again what could go wrong with Sliders.  The Peking duck wraps were tasty.  The weakest plate was the dim sum sampler but I had myself to blame for that.  Why would you order Chinese food at this type of restaurant.

The verdict:  Good food in a non-descript environment.
