Favor Bank -- What Do You Do With People Who Try to Screw You
In my prior conversations about the Favor Bank, I spent a lot of time talking about doing favors to people and asking for favors from people. Today, I want to talk about people who try to screw you in business. How does this work with the Favor Bank. To start, I think that this person forfeits all credits they had attributed to this person in your Favor Bank. I also will assume that any credits that you had in their favor bank would be wiped out because if they felt indebted to you then they would never try to screw you. Or worse, this person does not believe in the favor bank at all.
How does the negative interest concept work with the Favor Bank? If someone hits the negative, then are you justified in trying to screw them in the future. This would depend on the type of person you are but personally, I do not see why you shouldn't. But beware of the negative spiral affect in which this other person who then be out to get you again. This war could result in a form of the Hatfield / McCoy .
If you enlist the help of any third party to seek revenge on this other person, you would use up your favors accumulated with this third party. I do not know whether this the best use of favors.
So in the end, do not go for a scorched earth policy with someone who tries to screw you since the cost may be too dear to you.
